Non-theatrical rights of Liger sold for a whopping amount

Liger starring Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role has wrapped up its entire shooting formalities recently. Touted as an intense boxing drama, this pan-India project is being helmed by Puri Jagannadh.

Meanwhile, the latest news is that noted entertainment channel Star MAA and it’s OTT partner Disney Plus Hotstar has bagged the satellite and digital rights of the film for a whopping of Rs 65 crore.

While Charmee in association with Karan Johar is bankrolling Liger, the movie also has Hollywood star Miky Tyson in a key role. Bollywood beauty Ananya Pandey is the female lead and actress Ramya Krishnan is playing VD’s mother in Liger.
