SS Rajamouli has become synonymous with heavy VFX elements in his movies post Magadheera and the director wants to break that mould with his next. He will doing this film for DVV Danayya and then his next with Mahesh Babu. First, he wants to do a simple action movie without much VFX work and Vijayendra Prasad, his father and constant collaborator is looking to give him such a story. He recently talked to media regarding Mersal movie and also shared about Rajamouli film.

The senior writer said, “Mersal is a hard hitting pot boiler that is highly required for today’s generation. Corporate hospitals are milking money while they don’t really provide enough health benefits for their patients. Singapore collects 8% GST and ensure free medical health care for its citizens but India, after collecting 28% GST, still doesn’t provide enough health benefits and that’s a discussion, we should not avoid. Hence, we showed that in our film. Mersal as Adirindi will be a good break for Vijay in Telugu too. It is a good commercial story with all ingredients and social message. It being scrutinized like this shows some political parties becoming highly intolerant towards questions. A healthy democracy needs questioning public!”

He talked about his next projects and said about Rajamouli’s films too. “Rajamouli has given me a task to tell him a story that doesn’t require VFX and CG shots. It could be highly difficult but he wants to not work with any kind of CG, so I am trying to come up with such story. It is now my first priority to give him such a story and get him on track for his next. After that I am working on two biopics in Hindi and a Tamil film too. Mahabharatam is on his agenda but Rajamouli will only make it when he feels he is ready, “said the blockbuster writer, Vijayendra Prasad.
