A couple of days back, we had reported that the Zee group has acquired the theatrical and digital rights of Sai Dharam Tej’s upcoming film, Republic. As per the reports, the Zee management has bagged the movie rights by offers big bucks.
Meanwhile, from yesterday news has been circulating among film circles is that Zee is planning to release the film on a pay-per-view basis on the ZeePlex platform. Now, the latest news we hear from our sources is that the makers are strictly against the OTT release of the movie and are going to wait till the theatres are reopened.
This Deva Katta directorial is said to be a political drama and has Aishwarya Rajesh in the female lead role. G Pulla Rao and Bhagwan are bankrolling Republic under JB Entertainments banner. Mani Sharma is the music composer
