No Solo Release for ‘Eagle’ Movie, Three Competitors Await

A week prior to the Sankranti festival, the Tollywood lineup boasted five movies: ‘Guntur Kaaram,’ ‘Hanuman,’ ‘Naa Saami Ranga,’ ‘Saindhav,’ and ‘Eagle.’ However, due to concerns about all movies receiving ample theater coverage, the film ‘Eagle,’ featuring Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, made the decision to delay its release until February 9th.

The producer of ‘Eagle’ emphasized that releasing five films simultaneously during Sankranti would negatively impact all movies involved. Initially hoping for a solo release in February, ‘Eagle’ now faces direct competition from three other movies. ‘Yatra 2′ hits the screens on February 8th, followed by Sundeep Kishan’s ‘Ooru Peru Bairavakona‘ on February 9th, along with ‘Lal Salaam,’ which features a special cameo by Rajinikanth.

‘Lal Salaam,’ directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in significant roles, with music composed by AR Rahman. The announcement of ‘Lal Salaam’ joining the release list further intensifies the competition for ‘Eagle,’ altering its anticipated solo release hopes in February.

The shifting release dates and increased competition within the Tollywood lineup, especially for ‘Eagle,’ indicate a crowded schedule and heightened challenges for these films to garner audience attention and theater space amidst multiple simultaneous releases.
