No, NTR and ANR in Mahanati?

Mahanati, is the biopic of Savitri, the legendary actress. Naga Ashwin is directing the movie and it is scheduled to release on 29th March. Savitri acted with two great actors of Telugu Cinema, NTR and ANR, as lead actress through out her career and in her story, their on-set behaviour with her will also play a huge interesting narrative in the film.

Unfortunately, team Mahanati could not find good actors to play the legends as Jr. NTR and Naga Chaitanya didn’t want to take on their grand father’s roles. So, the team has decided they should either take the digital route by adding the two actors through VFX ot by not having them in the film at all. Both are key to few segments but not entirely influential in the life of the actress.

A source who is in the know revealed to press, “There is a high chance of makers going digital route and they are trying to hard to finish it off before the deadline, 25th of March. The movie is expected to release on 29th and the producers don’t want to go for another date. They feel it is perfect and would like to release it by that time. So, chances are that they would go without the two actors roles in the film.” We have to wait and see, when the team start promoting the film further. Keerthy Suresh is acting as Savitri and Samantha Akkineni, is playing a crucial role.
