The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has issued a new advisory asking filmmakers to submit their complete and final films for certification.
Producers must include final titles, all the credits, subtitles, disclaimers, background score, sound mixing and accessibility features.
Only the version approved by the CBFC can be screened in theatres. The board has also clarified that film titles mentioned during registration are not final and may be changed after review.
Submitting incomplete films, temporary graphics or missing content could lead to delays or rejection.
The CBFC has also made it clear that announced release dates will not ensure faster certification. Producers must follow the regular review process and plan submissions well in advance.
