Recent reports suggest that Ram Charan’s much-awaited film Peddi may release in the Nizam region without any hike in ticket prices.
The makers reportedly approached the Home Secretary twice seeking permission for increased ticket rates but did not receive approval. They later filed a petition in the Telangana High Court hoping to get permission for a price hike.
However the court is said to have declined to intervene, citing previous rulings on this issue. Following the development the team reportedly withdrew the petition.
As a result Peddi is expected to be released at the existing ticket prices in Telangana.
However an official confirmation from the makers is still awaited. Notably, Ustaad Bhagat Singh was also released at regular ticket rates in Telangana.
