“Maharaja” became a cult classic in Tamil cinema and is a special movie for actor Vijay Sethupathi. It was his 50th film and turned out to be a huge success.
Director Nithilan Swaminathan received a lot of appreciation for his work on the film. To celebrate the 100 days of the movie running on big screens, the producers gave him a BMW car.
Vijay Sethupathi, who is also a producer of this film, dedicated a lot of time and bulk dates to the film. The remake rights are in high demand.
Vijay is now one of the highest paid character actors in Indian cinema, often playing strong antagonist roles.
He’s known for choosing unique roles and has recently turned down a few Telugu films.
