After facing a few flops, Maharaja became a big comeback for Vijay Sethupathi. Directed by Nithilan Saminathan, the thriller collected over Rs. 120 crores during its initial run. It later released in China too and did well there as well.
Now, the latest talk in Kollywood is that director Nithilan Saminathan might team up with Rajinikanth for his next film. Reports say Rajinikanth was impressed by Nithilan’s gripping narration and the director is currently giving final touches to the script.
If everything goes as planned the film will be produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin under the Red Giant Movies banner.
Rajinikanth is expected to take up this project after completing Jailer 2. However an official confirmation is still awaited.
Meanwhile directors H. Vinoth and Vivek Athreya are also in discussions with Rajinikanth for future collaborations which has created even more buzz around his upcoming projects.
