Horror-comedy universe writer Niren Bhatt recently shared an update on Chhoti Stree, the animated prequel to Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree.
Shraddha had announced the film at the Thamma trailer launch, saying it will explore the backstory of the famous character and release before Stree 3 in 2027.
In an interview, Niren said the production will take time since the script isn’t finalized yet. He added that the exact place of the animated film in the universe’s timeline will be clear once the script is locked.
Shraddha described Chhoti Stree as a fun, family-friendly film for kids and adults. Producer Dinesh Vijan revealed that the movie will end with a scene from Stree 3, transitioning from animation to live-action and will reveal Stree’s backstory.
The film is expected to release six months before Stree 3.
