Tollywood, these days is filled with young actors and actresses who are coming from other languages and settling down with big characters that are liked by youth. Keerthy Suresh, Anu Emmanuel are best examples for the actresses who are able to get big opportunities these days coming from Malayalam roots. Following their lead Nikhila Vimal also wants to become the famous actress in Telugu. She is debuting with the movie, Meda Mida Abbayi in Telugu with Allari Naresh.
The movie is the remake of Oru Vadakkan Selfie. The original is written by Vineeth Srinivasan and directed by Prajit. The remake is also directed by Prajit and Nikhila is playing the role of Manjima Mohan from original. Avasarala Srinivas is playing an important role as a detective and Naresh as Meda Mida Abbayi who wants to become a director and Jabardasth Aadi is making a debut with this movie.
Nikhila talked to press about the movie and said, “I am excited about my Telugu debut and Prajit even though is the director of the original wanted me to give my own twist to the character and I tried to do so. I have seen the original and liked what Manjima Mohan did but did not just want to follow her. I think people will like this movie as it is a good family entertainer. I am open to glamorous roles as well and I believe we need to mix it up by doing acting oriented roles and also glamorous ones. I’m also acting with Mohan Babu in his next movie and excited about it too.” The movie Meda Mida Abbayi is scheduled for a release on 8th of September.
