Nidhhi Agerwal, who was last seen in HHVM alongside Pawan Kalyan faced unexpected controversy after videos of her arriving in Bhimavaram in a govt vehicle for a showroom launch went viral.
Some politically affiliated netizens criticized her and asked the use of an official vehicle for a private event.
The state government has not responded yet, but Nidhhi quickly issued a statement denying the allegations. She clarified that she has no links with the AP government and was unaware of the vehicle arrangements which were handled entirely by the event organizers.
Calling the rumors baseless, she stressed her respect for her fans and her wish to prevent misinformation.
Nidhhi spent over three years working on Hari Hara Veera Mallu which failed to meet box office expectations. She will next appear in the pan-India horror drama The Raja Saab starring Prabhas.
