A Tollywood delegation that includes popular and big names from the industry is about to meet with the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on January 10th to discuss the ticket prices in the state. The government would then make an official statement about the ticket prices and their changes if any.
In the meantime, reports are surfacing everywhere about the revised prices of tickets in the state, with sources saying that these are authentic prices that have been leaked on the internet. A minimum ticket price of Rs. 30 has been fixed for all non-AC theatres, where the minimum ticket price was just Rs. 5 earlier. Similarly, the maximum ticket price in non-AC theatres has been increased from Rs. 15 to Rs. 70.
For AC theatres, the minimum ticket price has been increased to Rs. 40 and a maximum of Rs. 150. Earlier, the minimum price was Rs. 10 and maximum price was Rs. 20 in gram panchayats, Rs. 15 and Rs. 35 in Nagar panchayats, and Rs. 40 and Rs. 100 in municipalities. For multiplexes, a uniform price of Rs. 250 has been set, reportedly.
