It is already reported that star heroine Rashmika Mandanna’s Bollywood film, titled Mission Majnu is gearing up for a direct-to-OTT release. Reportedly, the film will be premiering on digital giant Netflix on January 20th.
Starring Siddharth Malhotra as the male lead, Mission Majnu makers kick-started promotions yesterday. The first single from the audio album was launched last night at an event in Mumbai. While interacting with media at Mission Majnu event, Rashmika Mandanna is seen quite excited.”Bollywood Romantic Songs were a thing. For me, while growing up, romantic Songs mean, it’s Bollywood romantic songs. In the south, we have all mass masala songs, item numbers & dance numbers”, said Rashmika during the song launch.
After witnessing Rashmika Mandanna’s comments, netizens and moviegoers from the South are breathing fire on Rashmika for low-grade comments on South cinema which introduced her as an actress. Earlier, Rashmika Mandanna in a promotional interview refused to mention the name of her debut Kannada movie( Kirik Party) production house and faced criticism from Kannada fans. At least from now, will Rashmika Mandanna think a while before passing comments? Remains to be seen.
Coming back to Mission Majnu, the film was directed by Shantanu Bagchi and going to present the untold story of India’s greatest covert operation, taking place before and during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
