Netflix Shocks Fans With Censored Dhurandhar

Usually, OTT platforms in India do not censor content which is why many films are available in uncut and uncensored versions on platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Because of this viewers expected Netflix to stream the uncut version of Dhurandhar which premiered last night in multiple Indian languages.

However Netflix surprised viewers by releasing a shorter version instead. Not only was the film censored but nearly 10 minutes from the theatrical version were further trimmed in the OTT release. All the cuss words were muted, disappointing fans who were expecting a raw and realistic experience.

The film lost its original impact on OTT and viewers took to social media to criticise Netflix for this decision.

Netflix had earlier faced similar backlash for not releasing the uncut version of Animal and fans feel the platform has repeated the same mistake with Dhurandhar.
