Netflix is growing its footprint in India and is paying special attention to regional content by securing streaming rights for many well-known films.
To strengthen its operations Netflix has built a strong team and set up studios in Mumbai. Now the digital giant is planning a major move by setting up a VFX studio in Hyderabad.
The studio will be established by Scanline VFX a company owned by Netflix. It will be located in Hyderabad’s IMAGE Towers which is a special project developed by the Telangana government to promote the Animation, Multimedia and Entertainment (IMAGE) industries.
This step shows Netflix’s growing interest in India’s entertainment sector and its commitment to investing in advanced production facilities.
The announcement about the new VFX studio was made during the recent WAVE Summit India. With this move Hyderabad is expected to become a key hub for Netflix’s VFX work further boosting local talent and job opportunities.
