Neeta Lulla roped in for Gautamiputra Satakarni designs

The makers of Gautamiputra Satakari have roped in thethree times National Awards winner Neeta Lulla to design the costumes. She is the lady who designed the stellar costumes in Jodha Akbar and Devdas. So as far as historic and periodic films are concerned, she is already a name to reckon with.

Neeta is working with Krish, cameraman Gnanashekar VS and Art department to get the colour and the cuts absolutely right. She is said to have conducted a whole lot of research of the Satavahana times of 78 to 100 AD. Talking about her work, Neeta said, “After a thorough research I have crafted and conceptualized the look for each of the characters with apt colors and fabrics with right texture and authentic detailing.

We have studied lot of Amaravathi structures and developed sketches from figurines eventually mounted in form. The warrior armors had a lot of detailing that was achieved through careful understanding of the era while providing necessary appeal.” The costumes will surely be ones to watch out for!
