Neelima Guna denies inclusion of Pooja Hegde in Shakunthalam

It is very well known that Gunasekhar has announced his next. Gunasekhar’s last release was Rudhramadevi that released way back in 2015. In these 5 years, he has worked on a couple of projects. He has set up Hiranyakashyapa with Rana Daggubati in the lead role which is a mythological drama. Suresh Productions is going to produce the film. The script work and the pre-production works of the film are completed.

However, a sudden announcement came from Gunasekhar a couple of days back. His next will be another mythological love saga Shakunthalam. This will be the immediate project before taking up Hiranyakashyapa.

Gunasekhar has also announced his daughter Neelima Guna as the producer of the project.

Since the announcement, there are a lot of speculations on who is going to play the titular role of Shakuntala. There are reports that Pooja Hegde has been approached for this role but the young producer is quick to stroke off the rumors. She has made it clear that they haven’t approached anyone.
