Released on April 30, 2010, Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer Simha went on to become one of the biggest hits in the actor’s career. Directed by Boyapati Srinu, the film ended up the dull phase of Balakrishna and brought him back into the number game. The film was made with a budget of Rs 17 crore and went on to collect more than Rs 35 crore share at the box office.
Produced by Paruchuri Kireeti under the United Movies banner, Simha stars Nandamuri Balakrishna in a dual role. The film has Nayantara, Sneha Ullal and Namitha as the female leads. Meanwhile, the latest news is that Simha is all set to roar once again in the cinemas shortly. Reportedly, the film will have a re-release on March 11th across twin Telugu states. An official announcement regarding the same came out this afternoon.
Simha also has Rahman, Sai Kumar, Adithya Menon, Kota Srinivasa Rao and K. R. Vijaya in supporting roles. While the film’s music is composed by Chakri, Chinna gave the background score. Art direction is done by A. S. Prakash. The film’s cinematography work is done by Arthur Wilson and edited by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The film even brought Balakrishna Nandi Award for the year 2010.
