Nayanthara’s 2023 film Annapoorani is now streaming in Hindi on JioHotstar from October 1. The film, starring Nayanthara as a celebrity chef, marks her 75th film milestone.
Earlier, the movie faced controversy and was removed from Netflix due to allegations of “love jihad” and hurting Hindu religious sentiments. The producers had even issued an apology at the time.
Directed by Nilesh Krishna, Annapoorani tells the story of a girl born into a Hindu family of cooks in the Srirangam temple.
She dreams of becoming a chef but must cook non-veg dishes which go against her family religious traditions. The film explores the balance between personal ambition and family values.
The cast also includes Achyuth Kumar, KS Ravikumar, Jai, Redin Kingsley, Sathyaraj and Karthik Kumar. Now with its release on JioHotstar, fans can enjoy the film without restrictions and witness Nayanthara’s strong performance in this milestone project.
