Popular talented actress Nayanthara was set to star alongside her husband, Vignesh Shivn, in a film tentatively titled LIC. However, the movie stirred controversy right from the in start due to its title, which upset the Life Insurance Corporation of India. Notices were sent to the team, adding to the drama surrounding the project.
Unfortunately, Nayanthara has decided to exit the film, shocking everyone involved. The reported reason for her departure is dissatisfaction with the offered remuneration. Despite Vignesh’s involvement in the production, Nayanthara insisted on a higher payment, which the producers seemingly couldn’t meet.
Nayanthara was originally cast to play Kriti Shetty‘s sister, and her absence leaves a big vacuum in the film’s ensemble. Pradeep Ranganathan, known for Love Today movie, and Kriti Shetty, to acclaimed for her part in Uppena, are expected to star in the film.
