Nayanthara a leading star in Tamil cinema is once again in the spotlight for her reported demand of Rs. 18 crore for an upcoming Telugu film opposite Chiranjeevi.
Known for her strong screen presence and over two decades of consistent box office success Nayanthara currently earns around Rs. 10 crore per film already making her the highest-paid actress in Tamil cinema.
Her Rs. 18 crore quote has surprised many in Tollywood and reports suggest the production team is now negotiating the figure.
If fixed this would make Nayanthara the fourth highest paid actress in India after Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut.
Her ability to command such a high fee highlights the respect and demand she holds in the industry today especially as more South Indian talents gain wider recognition across India.
