Sudheer Babu has been trying to improve his market as a hero. He decided to become a producer and Nannu Docuhukunduvate is his first production. Let’s discuss how the movie is …
Plot : Karthik (Sudheer Babu) is work minded and doesn’t care about others as he looks only at his goal and nothing else. He wants to go to USA on promotion and decides to take up difficult projects for that.
His uncle decides to ask Karthik about marriage to his daughter (Varshini Sounderrajan). But she is in love with another man and to reject the proposal without hurting feelings of both the family heads, Karthik decides to tell that he is in love with Siri. Meghana (Nabha Natesh) acts as Siri and what happens between Karthik and Meghana forms the rest of the story.
Performances : Sudheer Babu is definitely getting better but he shouldn’t try each and everything he can. In this film, he doesn’t have a compelling character and his performance is not good enough too.
Nabha Natesh did well and has looks too. But again she doesn’t have a good character sketch that would make her performance stand out. In the few sequences, he got Naseer was good enough. Tulasi is good too. Harsha Chemudu is funny enough but all others are not upto the mark.
Technicalities : Suresh Raguthu, the cinematographer of the movie concentrated on his department that is delivering the visuals well enough. But those visuals after a point lack any depth or meaning.
Chota K. Prasad’s editing couldn’t really hold up the movie well and he too seemed to be in lot of confusion as the flow that a film needs to have, is missing.
Ajaneesh B. Loknath delivered good music and BGM for the movie. But the movie doesn’t really have enough material to compliment his work.
RS Naidu as a writer and director is unable to deliver a concrete movie with the story that is so predictable. He couldn’t hold the attention of the audience with a good screenplay. He missed giving a good core to the proceedings of the story. Even though there are good moments he couldn’t stitch them well enough.
Analysis : Movie is all about telling a story that compels the audiences to revisit it again and again. There is a likeability when moments are clubbed into a cohesive screenplay and we unknowingly fall in love with the characters. This movie doesn’t have a strong core that makes a movie, Movie. The experience of watching a well-realised romance is nowhere to be seen in this over dramatised effort by an younster.
Some moments make you laugh out loud for the basic absurdity in them. They are executed very badly and even the actors couldn’t really hold it together after a point. A story needs an organic flow and not good episodes. Hope the director realises it for his next. Spend your weekend wisely.
