Kamal Haasan, who is currently promoting his upcoming film Thug Life took a moment to appreciate Nani for his heartfelt admiration.
Nani had recently recalled a powerful scene from Virumaandi in an interview which went viral on social media. Kamal saw the clip and acknowledged Nani’s words, leaving the Tollywood actor overjoyed.
In a recent interview, Kamal spoke about how touched he was by Nani’s respect. Referring to Nani’s comments, he said, “That’s the essence of cinema”. He also mentioned that just saying Nani’s name was enough to express his gratitude, trusting that Nani and fans would understand his feelings.
Nani, moved by Kamal’s response, replied on Twitter with the words ‘Podhum sir’. Podhum which means “This is enough, sir”.
Nani has always spoken highly of Kamal’s work, often mentioning scenes from his classics. Kamal’s Thug Life hits screens on June 5th, while Nani’s The Paradise is set for 2026.
