Actor Nani has come a long way from being an assistant director to a busy actor with minimum guarantee market. He steadily rose step by step with one good film after another. He had been known for being a producer friendly actor who would be an anchor plan shoots and even help in making the script better with his sensibility. He is also known for showing up on time and wrapping up the film in time and not demanding any unnecessary luxuries that would hamper the film production. But with many films releasing and change in position, resulted in a change in Nani’s attitude as well it seems. He is trying to enter into production himself but he wants to secure his financial situation as well.
Due to Demonetization, producers and film industry are already facing a cash crunch and several movies have come to a halt.Few films could not release by the time they wanted to and several others are waiting for the situation to improve so that people will give them a chance at the theatres. New releases like Sahasam Sawasaga Saagipo, Ekkadikipothavu Chinnavada, Remo and Jayammu Nischayammura have showed that there are audience who are willing to watch movies but none of them have had a earth shattering opening or even bigger like they used to before. If a film gains a good mouth publicity or had a positive promotional campaign, the openings and first week used to be much better.
Now, trade is waiting for Dhruva release to see if the effects will be same or will the situation improve and people will show eagerness to watch the big film much more. Due to this sort of situation, many producers are asking and requesting, actors to reduce their remunerations as it getting hard to arrange cash and check payments are getting difficult to. They are hoping for actors to adjust for few films and then when the situation improves they can hike again. On contrary, Nani who is known for being producer decided to hike his remuneration to 4 crs. This is making producers think twice before going ahead with a film production. May be a bit consideration would help everyone in this difficult hour.
