Namit Malhotra’s Bold Dream For Ramayana

Ramayana is one of the most ambitious films in Hindi cinema right now. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, it stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role.

Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios is producing it with a massive budget of Rs. 4,000 crore for two parts. The makers believe that the film should not only succeed in India but also appeal strongly to viewers in the West.

Producer Namit Malhotra said Ramayana is a global film, not limited to Indian viewers. He wants people worldwide, everywhere to connect with it just like they do with any other big movie.

He also mentioned that the story will resonate with both believers and non-believers cutting across religious and cultural lines.

Comparing it to Hollywood films like Avatar, Gladiator and Christopher Nolan’s works, he boldly stated that “If people in the West don’t like it, it means we failed. This movie is made for the world”.
