The voices behind the Hindi translation of this masterpiece are interesting. Usually, voiceover artists are used for dubbing, however for Ponniyin Selvan, the production team enlisted the voices of renowned Bollywood actors.

Aditi Rao Hydari for Trisha, as Kundavai:

Ranvir Shorey for Karthi, as Vanthiyathevan:

Ranvir Shorey always has a firm control over his voice because he was a former VJ. His range as an actor brought to life the nuanced character of the cheerful yet obedient Vanthiyathevan. Many people mistakenly thought that Ranvir was Karthi since his voice as the character Vanthiyathevan fit him so well.

A well-known actor and voiceover artist is Rajesh Khattar. He has provided his voice for a number of Hollywood actors. Manoj Joshi for Jayaram, as Nambi:

Manoj Joshi, a well-known actor with decades of experience in the film industry, was able to effortlessly communicate Nambi’s peculiar body language and sense of comedy via his portrayal. He has always received adoring appreciation from audiences for all of his performances. Now, this Padma Shri Awardee gives his voice to Jayaram, who is portraying Azhwarkaddiyan Nambi, the spy of Anirudh Brahmmarayar in the movie.

Dayashankar Pandey for Kishore, as Ravidas:

This accomplished actor who has appeared in films, TV shows, and plays took on the new challenge of voice acting for the PlayStation franchise. He performed the intimidating Pandya assassin Ravidas, originally portrayed by Kishore, with ease.

PS-2 is presented by Subaskaran’s Lyca Productions. Mani Ratnam directed the film, which Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions jointly produced. AR Rahman composed the music. On April 28, 2023, PS-2 will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam throughout the world.
