A part of N Convention, owned by Tollywood actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, was demolished by HYDRA this morning after complaints about land encroachment. The demolition was completed in four hours.
Nagarjuna responded on social media, saying he owns the entire land and that no notices were given before the demolition. He announced plans to take legal action against the Telangana government.
Here is his official statement: “I am upset about the illegal demolition of N Convention, which happened despite existing court orders and stay orders. I want to clarify that we have not violated any laws. The land is legally owned, and no part of a water body was encroached upon”.
“There was a stay order against any previous demolition notices. The demolition today was done based on incorrect information, and no notice was given beforehand. If the court had ruled against me, I would have handled the demolition myself”.
“I am making this statement to correct any misunderstandings about illegal construction or encroachment. We will seek legal relief for the wrongful actions taken by the authorities”.
Pained by the unlawful manner of demolition carried out in respect of N Convention, contrary to existing stay orders and Court cases.
