Nagarjuna’s Raju Gari Gadhi 2 to start tomorrow!

Akkineni Nagarjuna has never been a hero who shied away from taking up subjects that no one of his star status would attempt and he made them successful productions as well. When everyone was busy trying to lock a movie with then big director, Nag went and requested Mani Ratnam to make a movie with him. During the same time, Nag took a huge risk by giving a chance to a literal new comer, Ram Gopal Verma. Both of them delivered two best films of his career and Telugu Film Industry as well, Geetanjali and Shiva. After that, Nagarjuna repeated such bold moves even though some backfired.

He struck to his guns and selected different subjects from different makers and gave films like Criminal, Nirnayam, Annamayya, Manmadhudu, Manam, Rakshana and recently, Soggade Chinni Nayana, Oopiri. Both the recent movies have become blockbusters and extremely successful gaining him name and fame along with the directors and makers. PVP productions this year had a mix bag with Kshanam, Oopiri doing well and Brahmostavam failing big time. Many thought with such a disaster and losses from other previous films, PVP has gone out of contention, but they just reduced their pace and are back into reckoning with movies lined up. PVP announced a release next February, PNS Ghazi with Rana in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. And they have a movie planned with Mahesh Babu as well.

Now, PVP came forward to make another movie with Nagarjuna and this time the director is Omkar. Omkar, a successful television anchor and producer, decided to became a director but due to inexperience made his debut with Genius, a huge budget film with a new comer. After the debacle, he decided to produce his next by his own and worked on script until he was sure. The movie became a surprise hit and gave him a recognition as a director. The movie is Raju Gari Gadhi.

We already know that the sequel to the film had been given a go ahead by Nagarjuna. PVP productions is producing the movie in the direction of Omkar and the movie is starting from tomorrow with a pooja ceremony. At Annapoorna Studios the pooja is organised at 10:45 AM and the clap will happen at 11:20 AM. Other details regarding the cast and crew will be announced tomorrow. Recently, Nag shot a song for his next in the direction of K Raghavendra Rao, Om Namo Venkatesaya and the movie will be wrapped by middle of next month and is eyeing a Feb or March release.
