Akkineni Nagarjuna is a tough task master when it comes to accepting a script and he is extremely careful these days as the movies are either becoming hits or disasters. When it comes to accepting the right script for his younger son’s relaunch or the second film, he seems to have become even tougher. Akhil, debuted as lead with ‘Akhil’ movie and the result of the movie pushed him and his family to think twice before accepting another film. Even though he came up with different subjects and combinations, Nagarjuna did not accept one of them and waited for his ‘Manam’ director to be free.
Once Vikram Kumar’s film with Allu Arjun got postponed, Nagarjuna seized the moment and announced him as the director for his son’s second movie. Accordingly, he asked Vikram to come up with a new youthful entertainer for his son. Vikram took time off as he got married and then gave a narration of his script. Nagarjuna was impressed with few aspects but had many more doubts, especially in the second hour of the film. The Writer-Director, decided to go with another script as he could not continue to work on the same. This resulted in postponing the launch of shooting of the film and in the meantime, Akhil’s engagement and marriage were announced.
With some doubts looming over his marriage, Akhil is eager to start shooting for his second. But Nagarjuna is still not completely impressed by the script it seems. He recommended several changes and asked for a fresh version of dialogues. So, the pre production work is still going on and the scheduled April launch date, might be postponed further too. Akhil’s previous film released for Diwali back in 2015.
