After the postponement of Rajamouli’s RRR, with NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles, and the postponement of Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam, audiences were disappointed that they wouldn’t get to experience the magic of movies released for Sankranthi in Tollywood. This gap is now being filled by Nagarjuna’s Bangarraju, a sequel to his film Soggade Chinni Nayana. While Nagarjuna and Ramya Krishna will be seen reprising their roles, Naga Chaitanya and Krithi Shetty will be seen joining them on the big screen.
At the press meet conducted for the film, Nagarjuna avoided talking about the ticket price issue going on in Andhra Pradesh, saying that it’s not right to talk about politics on a film stage. Furthermore, he said that his film wouldn’t suffer due to the issue in AP, and that it would only earn more money if the ticket prices were higher. At a time when a lot of the people from the industry are fighting for the cause, Nagarjuna’s comments have not gone down well with anyone, with many calling out the actor for not responding to such a dire situation, despite being a very influential person.
On the other hand, Bangarraju is all set to be released on January 14th, the day on which Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam was supposed to have been released, earlier.
