Premam has been an euphoria among the youth audience and became a career milestone for its hero Nivin Pauly. It launched the careers of Anupama Parameswaran, Sai Pallavi and Madonna Sebastian. The movie is still a rage among tamil and Malayalam youth. Most of the urban based audience of Telugu also wanted to see the film, while some of them did watch the original version most of them preferred if it would have been a telugu movie.
Naga Chaitanya took the risk of adapting this classic slice of life film to telugu with Chandu Mondeti of Karthikeya fame as director. The movie’s songs are already a rage among the youth audience and even though few trolled Shruthi Haasan from the teasers and trailers. Many thought Naga Chaitanya looks fresh and improved a lot in his body language and dialogue delivery.The negativity is expected as the original is just loved as an emotion by many. The movie completed it’s censor formalities with U/A certification and announced the release date to be October 7th for Dussehra. Akkineni Nagarjuna watched the film and tweeted about it praising the movie. He said he watched the movie and going back happy to his home after watching it. This boosted a celebration kind of atmosphere among the fans and even Chaitanya looked pleased with his father’s reaction.
