Producer Naga Vamsi has spoken about the recent issue between Telugu film producers and exhibitors. In an interview, he explained why he did not respond when producer Sunil Narang criticized him publicly.
Vamsi said he preferred to stay silent at that time but added that producers know how to answer in their own way.
He called producers the real owners of film content and said they have the power to decide when films reach theatres.
Speaking about the theatre rental and revenue sharing issue, he questioned why producers should struggle to secure theatres after investing heavily in films.
Vamsi also revealed that producers are now more united and plan to avoid releasing two big films in the same week which he believes will strengthen their position in future negotiations with exhibitors.
