Naga Vamsi Responded to the Allegations on Copying

Yesterday, in honour of Vijay Deverakonda’s birthday, a beautiful concept poster for his twelfth film was presented. Vijay’s visage was depicted on the intriguing poster as fragments of torn paper.

The movie Argo and a few other films were clearly referenced on the poster. This led some online users to claim that the creators of VD12 had stolen the poster.

Producer of VD12 Naga Vamsi responded to the accusations this afternoon in his characteristic manner. He posted several comparable posters from Satyajit Ray’s Agantuk, Kaithi, The Bourne Legacy, and even VD12 on Twitter to provide context. “It’s preferable to understand the context before joining the tag bandwagon.

The idea of destroying or removing identities is as old as secret agencies. Please resist the temptation to judge without a solid foundation, Naga Vamsi tweeted.

It’s unclear whether the real movie was inspired by any other films, despite the fact that Naga Vamsi’s tweet received a range of responses. In this as-yet-untitled film, Vijay plays a police officer.

Sreeleela, a popular young beauty, plays the lead role, and Gowtam Tinnanuri, known for his work in Jersey, is the director.
