Naga Chaitanya to take after his grandfather once again

Naga Chaitanya became the first actor, and is probably the last actor, in the history of Indian Cinema, to have shared screen space with his grandfather, well into his adulthood, in Manam. Manam created a unique record, with three generations of the Akkineni family coming together, something that has never happened in the history of Indian cinema ever.

While Akkineni Nageswara Rao sadly passed away before the release of Manam, he continues to stay with the audience through his legendary performances. Naga Chaitanya went on to portray his grandfather in Mahanati, the biopic of actress Savitri. Now, the actor’s latest film is said to be titled Nageswara Rao.

This is the film that would be directed by Parasuram, who directed Superstar Mahesh Babu in Sarkaru Vaari Paata. While there’s no official confirmation regarding the title yet, it would be very interesting to see Chaitanya in the titular role in the film, which is said to be an out and out entertainer, in which Chaitanya is said to be seen in the role of a middle class boy. More details regarding the film are yet to be announced.
