Laal Singh Chaddha failed to meet the lofty expectations that Aamir Khan’s fans had for it in terms of box office performance. In addition to Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Naga Chaitanya played important roles in the movie. It’s interesting to note that the movie also served as Naga’s Bollywood debut. Recently, the actor spoke out about the film’s underwhelming box office performance and said he has no regrets.
Naga Chaitanya, who has a sizable fan base, is presently promoting his next Telugu- Tamil bilingual film Custody. During the promotions, he also discussed Laal Singh Chadha’s failure and explained why he agreed to appear in the movie.
In an interview, Naga Chaitanya stated why he was so thrilled to be a part of the movie and finally spoke out about Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha’s box office disaster. “The main reason for me to do that project was to travel with Aamir sir. As an actor, I wished I get to travel with him for just 2 days to learn from him. I walked into the project with this mindset. But I got to work with him for 5-6 months.”
The actor praised Aamir Khan and disclosed that he had a personal connection to the storyline. He continued, “Even in the way Aamir sir was functioning, there was a lot of honesty. I simply followed him on this adventure, and I don’t regret a thing. Even if the movie didn’t work out, I managed to emerge as a more mature individual both emotionally and professionally. I owe it to what he taught me. According to the actor, participating in Laal Singh Chaddha is an investment in the future.
