2 States has been a big film for Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor in hindi as both the young upcoming actors got a big hit under their belts after their debut movies. The movie majorly helped Alia to grow in stature while Arjun was not left behind. The movie was directed by Abhishek Verman, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar. The movie was a book adaptation of the same name, written by Chetan Bhagat.
Recently, Abhishek Pictures announced that they bought the remake rights and are looking to produce the movie with Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, the real life couple as leads. Chaitanya in his recent promotional interviews on the eve of his next release, Sahasam Sawasaga Saagipo, said that he did get the proposal and asked for few changes in the script. Once the changes are appropriately done, he would like to go ahead with the project. About Samantha’s involvement in the movie, he said nothing.
Naga Chaitanya also mads interesting comments regarding Premam. He said had the film been prompted a little bit more aggressively it would seen even more better returns than it did. He said he is happy about the success and the returns but he understood what went wrong with the promotions. Promotional staff and makers had communication gap and few issues. He said he would like to see that those issues won’t repeat for his next movies.
Reacting to the various rumours, he said he is not in the industry to make money but he has to look after the legacy of both the families as well. He said he has always been in touch with the makers and ever available for any sort of promotions regarding his releases.
