It is already reported that Dhamaka writer Prasanna Kumar is on directional trials. Reportedly, the talented writer met senior star Nagarjuna and narrated to him a point. Impressed with the point Nagarjuna asked Prasanna to develop the idea into a full-fledged script.

News also came out that noted producer Srinivasaa Chitturi will be bankrolling the movie under his Srinivasaa Silver Screen banner. Even actor Allari Naresh is approached for a key role in this said-to-be Rs 50 crore project.
Tentatively titled Nag99, while everyone is waiting for an official announcement regarding the project, here comes a twist. Yesterday, reputed production house Abhishek Agarwal Arts banner owned by Abhishek Agarwal released an official statement that the production house has acquired the remake rights of a Malayalam film titled, Porinju Mariam Jose. The statement also says that the pre-production work for the Telugu remake is underway at a fast pace. Now, the buzz coming in from industry circles is that the film is going to be Nag99. an official confirmation regarding the same is awaited.
