Mythri Distributors Oppose Multiplex Block On Jetlee

The film distribution sector in Telangana is facing tension due to a dispute over revenue sharing in single-screen theatres.

Kethireddy Sasidhar of Mythri Movie Distributors LLP issued a statement explaining the situation.

While distributors agreed to stop screening their films in some single screens, the issue escalated when their latest release Jetlee was blocked from multiplexes as well.

Sasidhar strongly criticized this move, calling it an unfair pressure tactic to force agreement on single-screen terms. He said linking single-screen and multiplex matters is not right and sets a bad example for the industry.

He urged that Jetlee be allowed to screen in multiplexes immediately and added that they are ready to resolve the single-screen dispute separately through fair discussions.
