Producer Murali Mohan recently shared his thoughts about making Athadu 2 saying that if a sequel is ever made, it will be only with Mahesh Babu and Trivikram.
He confirmed that his production banner, Jayabheri Arts is ready to produce the film. According to him there is enough story potential to build a strong and engaging sequel to the 2005 classic.
However he also admitted that turning Athadu 2 into reality won’t be easy. Mahesh Babu is usually hesitant about revisiting his classic films through sequels.
Meanwhile Trivikram might want to make the film under his home banner, Haarika & Hassine Creations which may not align with Murali Mohan’s production plans.
Another major challenge is that some key actors from the original film are no longer with us, and the rest have undergone image and age transitions. So, while possible, Athadu 2 won’t be easy to pull off.
