Santosh Sivan, a director-cinematographer who has won a National Award and the Padma Shri Award, revealed that he shot his upcoming thriller-drama “Mumbaikar” in a few of the same locations where he shot his first Hindi film “Raakh” as cinematographer with Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan in 1989.
He disclosed that “Mumbaikar,” which features a cast that includes Vikrant Massey, Vijay Sethupathi (from “Makkal Selvan”), Hridhu Haroon, Ranvir Shorey, Tanya Maniktala, and Sanjay Mishra, was filmed right in the middle of the pandemic.
The film Mumbaikar, which was filmed in a number of authentic Mumbai places, will allow the spectator to appreciate the beauty of the city.
Santosh Sivan said the following when discussing the subject: “We managed to film Mumbaikar in the places I had in mind despite having to shoot during the pandemic. at actuality, I filmed Mumbaikar at a number of the same places where I worked as a cinematographer on my first film, Raakh, starring Aamir Khan. Only authentic Mumbai sites, like Lokhandwala, Madh Island, Versova, the Tabla of RA Mill Colony, and Papillon Park, were used for the filming of Mumbaikar.
The globe digital premiere of “Mumbaikar” by Jio Studios is scheduled for June 2 on JioCinema.
