Indian Wicket Keeper and Batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni have announced his retirement today. This came in as a complete surprise as no one hasn’t got a clue about it. He took to Instagram and posted the message “Thanks, Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout.from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired”.
MS Dhoni last played his International Cricket in the World Cup 2019 in the Semi-Final match against New Zealand. Post World Cup, Dhoni made himself unavailable and didn’t play International Cricket. MS Dhoni is the most successful Indian Captain. He led India to win T20 Cricket World Cup 2007, One Day World Cup 2011, and Champions Trophy 2013. It was under his captaincy India reached No 1 in Test rankings.
MS Dhoni in his international tenure has played 538 matches and scored 17266 runs with 44.26 average. As a wicketkeeper, MS Dhoni is highly successful. He was involved in 829 dismissals, 634 catches, 195 stumpings.
However, MS Dhoni will be continuing playing IPL.
