Mowgli is Roshan Kanakala’s second film after Bubblegum and is directed by Sandeep Raj. Produced by People Media Factory, the film features Bandi Saroj as the villain. The teaser and trailer created buzz, and also an emotional tweet by the director brought some more attention.

The film received negative talk on day one, leading to poor openings. It showed no improvement on Saturday and struggled again on Sunday.

Mowgli earned only Rs. 0.45 crore share in two days against a Rs. 4 crore break-even. With Akhanda 2 dominating theatres and negative talk, the film failed to get even minimum openings despite low ticket prices.
