Akhil Akkineni and Pooja Hegde’s Most Eligible Bachelor released yesterday as a Dussehra festival special. Opened to mixed reports, the movie has minted solid revenues on its first day at the box office.
Reportedly, cashing in on the festival advantage, MEB has collected a whopping share of Rs 5.45 crore with Rs 9.1 crore gross on its first day in twin Telugu states. As per the Rentrak reports, Most Eligible Bachelor has collected $225K at the US box office on its first day( Thursday premieres + Friday collection) which is approximately Rs 1.7 crore in Indian currency. As per the trade reports, the film has to collect a distributor share of Rs 18 crore to be a safe bet for the investors. Will the film manage to achieve the break-even target in the coming days? Needs to be seen.
Directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar, Most Eligible Bachelor has superhit songs composed by Gopi Sundar which has brought good craze for the film among the audience.
