Netflix recently took part in the CII Big Picture Summit where several creators spoke about how streaming platforms have changed the entertainment industry in India.
As Netflix gets ready to complete 10 years in India, Monika Shergill, Vice President of Content at Netflix India held a discussion with actor Rajkummar Rao, creator Sudip Sharma and Sameer Nair of Applause Entertainment.
They discussed how the media and entertainment industry in India has changed over the past ten years because of OTT’s.
Monika Shergill said streaming has created opportunities for many new talents to tell stories and entertain everyone.
She added that India needs more creators and new ideas to keep audiences engaged and streaming platforms have helped bring those stories to life.
