The friendship between superstar Rajinikanth and Collection King Mohan Babu has a special history. They both started their careers in the film industry together and became friends.

Despite Rajinikanth being from Bengaluru, he gained popularity in Tamil cinema. When the Telugu film industry shifted to Hyderabad, Rajinikanth was unsure which audience to prioritize.

It was then that Mohan Babu told him not to forget his Tamil fans who supported him which helped Rajinikanth to become a superstar in Tamil Nadu and beyond.

During a period when Mohan Babu faced several flopes, Rajinikanth suggested he remake the Tamil movie “Nattamai” as “Pedarayudu”, which became a huge success. Rajinikanth even acted in the film without charging any remuneration.

This incident highlights the depth of their friendship. Whenever Rajinikanth visits Hyderabad he will make sure to visit Mohan Babu house before returning to Chennai.
