According to reports, late actor Amrish Puri once smacked Govinda on set and reprimanded Aamir Khan in front of everyone.
Amrish Puri, a deceased actor, is recognised as one of Bollywood’s greatest actors. In his successful career, he has appeared in more than 450 films and won numerous honours for his outstanding acting abilities. Although he is a well-known actor in the business, rumours allegedly claimed that he smacked Govinda and reprimanded Aamir Khan on the set.
The seasoned actor was well known for his roles as movie villains. The audience was much more captivated by his powerful on-screen presence and deep voice than by the film’s handsome hero. His most well-known films include Vidhaata, Shakti, Meri Jung, Mr. India, Shahenshah, Ram Lakhan, Tridev, Ghayal, Damini, Karan Arjun, Jeet, Koyla, Nayak: The Real Hero, Ghatak, and Ghayal, among many others.
Amrish Puri was also leaving a lasting impression with the release of each of his flicks during Govinda’s reign as the king of the silver screen. In numerous flicks, the two gave it their all. However, Amrish Puri once criticised Govinda for arriving late to the sets. According to the Bollywood Shaadis story, Govinda showed up on the set around 6 pm, which infuriated the renowned villain because all of the actors were supposed to arrive at 9 am. After the senior actor finally apologised to Govinda for slapping him on set, the matter was resolved.
Actors other than Govinda were troubled by Amrish Puri’s rage. During his early years of working in the film industry, Aamir Khan was also questioned. Aamir was a continuity manager for his uncle Nasir Hussain before he became an actor. One day, young Aamir was instructed to maintain the character’s continuity while filming with his uncle Nasir Hussain and well-known actor Amrish Puri.
Aamir’s continual continuity errors infuriated Amrish, who reprimanded him in front of everyone. Nasir, the director of the movie, intervened and told Amrish that everything was his fault and that Aamir was following his instructions. The actor then offered Aamir his sincere apologies
