Music Director MM Keeravani gave a shock to his fans and well wishers, when he announced to retire after Bahubali2. The popular musician took to twitter to speak his mind and announce whether he would like to continue or retire from composing music any further. He shared that many of his family members including director SS Rajamouli doesn’t want him to retire but his decision was propelled by the lack of inspiration from newcomers and his own age. He further shared his gratitude to his family, mainly his wife by standing by his side in thick and then. He then thanked K Raghavendra Rao and remarked him as his godfather in the industry.
He remembered director mouli, who gave him his first movie. He remembered that Akkineni Nagarjuna never left his hand in good times or bad times. After that he passed some strong remarks on directors he worked with. He said they have been deaf to his sound advises and remarked that’s the difference between them and SS Rajamouli. He expressed his confusion on continuing to give music on his own terms or work as a slave for a director. He exclaimed that he doesn’t need to continue working just for the sake of it and if he decides to continue then he will do it only on his own terms. Finally, after a long thought he decided to continue giving music on his own terms with whomever he is comfortable to work with. He also mentioned Ram Gopal Verma’s contribution in his early days and praised him for the genius he is!
