When Mithun Chakraborty was questioned about Amitabh Bachchan in a recent interview, he referred to him as the century’s biggest star and said, “Back then, Bachchan saab used to do big flag films. I also lacked a banner. However, my films would succeed with almost that audience. People would compare him to Amitabh Bachchan but on a lower level. “They used to say that they are the two pillars of the industry,” the speaker continued. He revealed in the same interview that he had occasionally thought about suicide as well as sleeping in gardens and on the streets. I won’t call them struggling days because many children would lose hope, he said on the same channel. Everyone experiences difficulties, but mine have been so great that… I practically came from the pavement. I’ve slept in Five Garden on numerous occasions while I was in Bombay. I occasionally slept in front of a hostel. My friend bought me a membership so I could use the facilities in the morning at Matunga Gymkhana.
