Pawan Kalyan is one of the most celebrated stars in TFI and his films always create massive buzz before release. However his upcoming biggie, OG, has generated an unprecedented level of hype, far greater than his previous films.
With such craze, audiences generally want to catch the movie on its very first day and exhibitors try to arrange as many screens as possible to meet demand.
Currently, Mirai starring Teja Sajja, is running successfully in theatres and racing past Rs. 150 crores worldwide. Normally, a film doing so well would not give up its screens easily.
But in a rare and positive gesture, the Mirai team has decided to allocate their shows to OG on Thursday, ensuring the big release gets maximum reach.
From Friday onwards, Mirai will return to its regular screenings. This selfless decision highlights unity in Telugu cinema and supports the growth of the industry.
